Checking out the Dog Country Cafe

Even after 2 and 1/2 years living in Bangkok, I’m still surprised by some of the special places. This place, the Dog Country Cafe is no exception. I’m always browsing the internet looking for something unique, but it was Chanya who picked this place. I’m getting the feeling she wants a new dog. Of course, I’m not that easy to convince that owning a dog here in the suburbs is a good idea. They need places to run and things to keep them occupied but there is no real space for that. Aside from the soi dogs roaming, most dog owners around our way keep their dogs in cages which simply won’t be something I would stand for.

Of course, it will end up being me who takes the dog out for playtime which will work given Chanya works now. I would still be concerned about the interaction with the soi dogs and their territorial boundaries. The main thing that holds me back right now is that I haven’t got over the passing of my last dog who died at the age of 17.
