Today was a great day! I got to ride the Harley Davidson Fat Boy 114 and the Fad Bob 107. The Fat Boy was an interesting bike in that it seemed to want to stand up automatically after cornering. It was like there was a gyro stabilizer built into the engine and something I wasn’t expecting. The ride position was really comfortable and I could certainly see myself cruising on one if I had the spare 1.2m baht to buy one.
The Fat Bob, on the other hand, was actually quite uncomfortable and I would need to heavily modify the ride dynamics if I was to ever get one, but then it probably wouldn’t be a Fat Bob. Both bikes certainly had some grunt, but I still feel my Vulcan S would easily take them out on a standing quarter.
The RideHub is actually a really neat hangout. It’s just like a roadside coffeehouse but dedicated to the riding enthusiast where you can get your steed cleaned and waxed for a modest fee. Although they did have a kitchen there to make food, we decided to take a short stroll down the road to a quaint cafe Por recommended. I then jumped on my bike and popped over to Chanya’s salon to check out how things were going.
