House hunting can be a bit hit and miss given that many places don’t get listed on the real estate websites in Thailand. I can only put that down to a particular Thai Thainess where there is minimal margin to share the returns. These village estates are advertised on storyboards hung up on telegraph pols and other similar places to catch the eye of the passing public. Of course, they list the pricing of the smallest package to draw you in, but as we have found, that one has already been sold so you have to choose from the houses that have more land and they have a much higher price.
This estate certainly looks nice and the houses have some nice character to them. I am concerned about the distance to Chanya’s salon and that there isn’t really any space for mother’s sewing circle. The lesser priced house only had a single car space which I feel is going to be a negative as well. All I can say is that we really won’t know which way we’ll be going until we get the results back from the bank and know what our spending range will be.
