Banking and Money Transfers for Thailand (ธนาคารและการโอนเงินสำหรับประเทศไทย)

So, I was on my way home from the Sermsuk Warehouse flea market when I realized I needed a couple of things from the supermarket. I needed to get some cash from the ATM which then had me thinking about the whole money transfer thing we go through every month.

One of the challenges we face here in Thailand is how to finance our retirement but we rarely talk about the best ways to actually move those finances around. I’ve been fortunate to have set up accounts in Australia and Thailand with Citibank, but I’ve also noticed that the conversion rates they have been offering lately are a few points off the current market rates. I remember a discussion thread started on the old Thailand Desk forum about Transferwise so I took the time to check it out.

Pop over to the Transferwise Website and compare the rates.
