Wazza’s Backroom – New Tier Introduction and What’s Coming Next
Wazza’s Backroom is finally here, and in this episode I break down exactly why we’ve introduced a new Free Edition tier on Patreon — and how it fits alongside everything we already do on YouTube and the blog. This marks a new chapter for the channel and gives us more space to speak freely without worrying about algorithm filters or shifting rules.
The important part first: nothing changes on the main YouTube channel. Our weekly vlogs, Thailand life stories, food runs, travel days, and Chanya’s on-camera fun stay exactly as they are. What the new Free Edition offers is an extra lane — a place where I can talk openly, explore tangents, share behind-the-scenes thoughts, and post things that don’t play nicely with the YouTube ecosystem.
The Patreon Free Edition tier is completely open to everyone. No subscription fee, no paywall, just a simple opt-in space where I can share:
- raw commentary and honest opinions
- tech experiments, project updates, and workflow breakdowns
- off-topic rants that never fit inside a normal vlog
- behind-the-scenes thoughts on YouTube, life in Thailand, and daily routines
- extra clips that YouTube’s community guidelines would punish
I also touch on the tools we rely on. Patreon emails actually reach people, unlike the unreliable YouTube notification system. The blog has push notifications too — when I finish fixing the recent software break. And yes, I take a jab at DaVinci Resolve tutorials pretending it’s “simple.” Compared to Filmora, it’s definitely not.
As Wazza’s Backroom grows, I’ll refine the format, add more structure, and mix in stronger storytelling. For now, it’s an open sandbox — a place for everything that doesn’t belong on the main channel but still deserves a home.
If you want in on the Free Edition tier, you’re welcome to join us and follow along on this new side road.
