I am surprised that double glazing isn’t thought of in Thailand to cut down the heat, but the next best thing would be window tint on all the windows. We are fortunate to have an east-west facing house where the morning sun is on the front of the house and the afternoon sun at the back. Only 3 sets of windows face south and that also helps with cutting down the heat factor. We’ve decided to go with a 99% UV rated film with an 80% tint factor. The film is also semi-reflective which will give a partially mirrored surface that will also help reflect the harsh sun. All up, I feel it is a good addition to the home for reducing the Electricity bill and adding some additional privacy.
