If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last 14 years of visiting and living in Thailand, it is that family comes first and is deeply ingrained in Thai Culture. There is a sense of belonging now that I’m in my senior years, as this is something that I feel was never going to happen if I lived back in Australia. We might have a language barrier, but I feel we talk more about life and activity more than when I was back there. It is still early days in the long trek to ascension, but I do feel the years ahead will be far more enjoyable.
