Buying an Oven in Thailand – Not as Easy as You’d Think!

In today’s episode, Chanya has a craving—and not just for any pizza—it’s gotta be a proper Wazza Pizza! After a few microwave-based pitta pizza experiments (which she loved, by the way), it was clear: we need a proper oven.

Now, here’s the thing… Ovens aren’t really a “Thai kitchen” standard. You can find them, but they’re rarely built-in, often overpriced, and usually tucked away in the back corner of appliance stores like an afterthought.

Before our shopping mission, we stop off for lunch at a place that gave us déjà vu. Turns out, it’s a restaurant we’ve visited before—same garden, same old Hopewell train carriage out back—but it’s under new ownership with a new name. The Isaan food menu hit all the right notes and got us ready for the next mission.
