17 Years Together ❤️ Street Food, Strange Signs & Our Thai Life
17 years together — and we’re still doing what we do best: eating, laughing, and living our strange little Thailand life one day at a time.
Today’s video is a special one — it’s our 17th anniversary. Chanya gets home from work and we don’t waste any time… we’re hungry, so we bounce straight out for dinner.
Chanya chooses Isan food at one of our favourite street-side kitchens:

Traffic whizzing past, plastic chairs, fast service, and that classic Thailand atmosphere.
We sit down, browse the massive menu (with those beautifully clear Thai prices like 49, 78, 89, 159 baht), and Chanya writes our order on the little notepad — very Thai kitchen style. Then I discover the unthinkable… no Leo beer. Panic sets in.
17 Years Together, and Thailand Still Finds New Ways to Surprise Us
Over dinner, I weave a little story around our 17-year journey — as an early Gen-Xer with a slightly Discordian lens on life, the number 17 has always felt like one of those “reality winks”. And this year? It feels like it’s going to get weird, fast.
Chanya has even started playing with AI, and she made a photo of us on a beach that weirdly looks like a wedding photo… except we’re not married (yet). Which leads to the next question: will it happen? Who knows — it might be the year of strange things!
We also throw a practical question to the audience:
Can someone on an O-A visa change to an O-Marriage visa without leaving Thailand?
Visa rules aren’t as simple as they used to be, and travel in general feels like a whole different world now.
We talk about arguments (or the lack of them), share a bit about the direction of our channel and why we’re focusing on real life together instead of chasing the algorithm, and we touch briefly on the January pollution / PM levels and how it’s been affecting health.
Food arrives all at once, we laugh through the bill competition (including the infamous 20 baht tip twist), and we finish with a shoutout to the kitchen, a map pin reference, and a big thank you to our members and supporters.
Thanks for being part of our extended family ❤️
