The Chata Thammachart Cafe and Bistro

I must admit, these cafes and bistro visits are really growing on me and I am given to wonder how many other unique settings we might find. This place is no exception with its Balinese-style bamboo construction and thatch roofing overlooking a ricefield. The owners here have done a wonderful job creating a lovely rural experience with some excellent food. With all the fearmongering running wild in the media circus, you can certainly forget about the real world for a while here.

Although the outside temperature was around 36 degrees, we had a nice breeze coming in over the rice fields which made us feel quite relaxed. This spot also seemed quite popular for the younger generations from what I could determine of the patronage. The prices seemed quite reasonable as well from a westerner perspective. One thought I had was that the location was much closer to Bangkok than the other places we have visited which may have been a reason why more people were here on a Wednesday afternoon.
