We visited a new restaurant for Chanya’s birthday this year and I took some pictures as well as the usual video which will be released in about a week. This eatery has a German theme and the food was wonderful but I’m starting to see that nearly all eateries fall into this boat as food is a cultural thing about Thailand
One thing you will find when you visit or even live in Thailand is that restaurant prices can vary greatly. A small family restaurant in a suburban village can have a meal for as low as 30 baht ($1 USD) or they can be quite expensive if you were eating at the Hilton. The Ban Nam Kieng Din Restaurant gets a 4.4 star rating on Google maps and the food was great with the average plate around 300 Baht ($10 USD) so it isn’t the sort of place you would go for a typical meal, but for an event like Chanya’s 34th birthday, it certainly was worth it.
Here is the video I shot on the evening –
