A common theme portrayed by the tabloids, blogs and internet forums is that Thailand is a dangerous place to live. I’ve been living here for 4 years and visiting for an additional 11 years and I can’t see what these stories are getting at. I must admit that there are bad things that go on here and there seems to be a lack of Police control, but I certainly feel safer here than living in Sydney or Glasgow. My personal thoughts on the matter always focus on the person making the statements about the safety and what is their agenda for saying the place is unsafe. Some people exude trouble where ever they live and they create their own problems. People simply need to take a chill pill and learn to get along with people!
