Songkran Day 2 – Making Merit

One of the positives of the Songkran holidays is that the roads in Bangkok are free of traffic jams because most people leave the city to visit family in rural areas. I am certainly not complaining, but as it’s a holiday, I’m also taking the day off as the designated chauffeur!

We first make our way out to Wat Wat Sisrathong where Chanya and the others make their ritual blessings. We then head off to Wat Rai Khing where we grab some lunch and watch some longboat races which was quite unexpected. Once all the market wandering was finished, we head back home to prepare for the evening entertainment (which will be in the next video)
