So, I get 15 minutes notice (which is now pretty normal) that we’re going out for a family dinner. Today we end up at a small Thai Issan restaurant on the canal near our house. It’s not my first time eating Issan style food, but this would probably be the nicest selection of Issan cooking that I’ve tried. I still can’t eat a full serving of Somtam, but the other dishes were great.
