The Nightlife in Cha-Am

First of all, I’d like to send out a really big Thank You to Rob and Bee for the wonderful time we spent together checking out Cha-Am over the 2 days. The Nightlife was something totally spur of the moment but also a sharp contrast to places like Soi Cowboy or Walking Street in Pattaya. It is a pace of life I could certainly get used to that’s for sure.

You may have been following the Thailand news recently and I really think the picture of holiday making here in Thailand is not really showing the true story. Rob has been visiting here for many years and he also thinks the number of tourists is severely down in recent years. The low exchange rates no longer make Thailand the end destination for Australians as their dollar can go further in other countries. The heavy hand from the Immigration Authority is also scaring away travellers who can afford to come here as well.

I just hope the elections next year will usher in a new era for Thailand because if this exodus continues, Thailand will find it the Tourist industry collapsing completely.
