U.S. to Cease Providing Income Affidavit

There has been a lot of speculation whether the US embassy here in Thailand would follow the lead set by the UK embassy regarding the certification of income letters. To the best of my ability with verifying the article published today, it certainly looks like they have ceased providing the income affidavits.

The article states that they will no longer provide these affidavits from the 1st of January 2019. Ouote – “Because the U.S. government has no means of confirming a U.S. citizen’s income, a notarized affidavit from the U.S. Embassy has never met the requirement to prove a minimum income level for a non- immigrant “O”, “O-A”, or “O-X” long-term stay visa.”

Ok, so on the lighter note in reference to the Android App I’ve come across, here is a link to it in the Google Play store.
