Once again I found myself hanging out with a few of the regulars from our FFB meetup group. This time it was an art exhibition being held at the Sathorn 11 Art Space near Surasak BTS. We started out the evening at the Sara Jane restaurant which was surprisingly well priced given the location and the quality of the food there. Of course, like most restaurants, they seemed to have difficulty with splitting the bill for 14 people but we managed. After our satisfying meal, we then took a short stroll down to the gallery and met up with some more of our meetup group.
The information on the event was posted on Facebook and gave a pretty good description of what it was about. The thing that caught my eye was the mention of the 3D Beat Saber game which I was already familiar with. The artist, Al Caudullo, has been working in the field of video production for quite some time and now has a focus on 3D cinematography and art. The presentation was very interesting and I’m now considering getting a Vuze XR camera to add to my equipment bag given the unique features it has.
All up, the evening was very enjoyable and something different which is always a treat when you live the retired lifestyle. I do hope to follow up with Al at some point and maybe learn a few tips and tricks to enhance my video production skills. I was also surprised that someone beat my score on Beat Saber!
