Well, there was no shortage of pretty girls at the Yamaha Dark Side test ride event today. Jay, Jane and I made our way across to the Dark Side event that I saw promoted on my Facebook feed and it certainly was a completely different event to the Triumph one. Music, food and sexy young girls all over the place and the party atmosphere was electric.
Yes, we did get to ride the MT07 and the MT09 Yamaha sports bikes and they really felt good on the demo track. Alas, you will never really feel their full capability on a short track like that but at least it was a bit of fun. I’m still not convinced that these test rides will persuade me to sell my Vulcan cruiser, but it is good to see what other people are riding.
I was also quite surprised to bump into Rose who is a facebook friend. We’ve chatted a little over the past year and catch the occasional post with her and her boyfriend doing their stunt riding. It’s great to actually see it up close with that burning rubber smell. Thank god I’m not the one paying for the tires! Those stunt bikes cost over 3 million a piece!
