You can find some interesting places in Bangkok just by opening up Google maps and zooming in on areas. One that caught my eye was the Bangkok Planetarium and as it has been over 30 years since I’ve been to one, I thought I would go check it out. I mentioned it to Tim and Ian so we met up at the Down Under Bar for lunch and then headed down.
It is located in the Science Center for Education near Ekkamai BTS Station so very close to easy transport. The admission charge is 25 baht for the Planetarium and another 25 baht if you want to spend some time in the Science Center. All up, for 50 baht, I found it interesting and enjoyed the place.
If you are looking to attend the Planetarium, the English narrated show is the 10 am session on Tuesdays. All the other shows are narrated in Thai so to get the most out of it, you need to choose the language that suits you best.
