I still can’t get my head around the size of the Thai family unit. For us westerners, it tends to be limited to your direct family and first cousins. Over here in Thailand, it seems to extend to at least 4 generations back and also includes close friends as well. I guess that just means we have more parties and graduations to go to! Today it was chopper’s turn to graduate and he was studying political sciences. I’m sure he’ll find gainful employment in that field.
