This is their last day and night in Bangkok before their long flight home, so we get together for one last time to check out a few places on their itinerary. The first stop in the Daniel Thaiger burger joint on Sukhumvit Soi 11.
I was a little disappointed with this place given that this is Thailand and they didn’t have pork as an option for the burger, but the boys certainly liked them. They do have a good selection of imported and craft beers here though.
After lunch, we went back to check out the hotel they were staying at. The Galleria 10 looks like a nice place to hang your hat and not all that expensive at 1,600 baht per night.
We made plans to go to the Octave skybar, but given the price of drinks there, we stopped in at a small bar on Soi 15 called the Speakeasy. The sign out the front shows beers for 70 baht which is probably the cheapest drinks on Sukhumvit aside from 7-11 or Family Mart.
Anyway, after wetting their whistle, we then made our way down to the Marriot hotel which is where you’ll find the Octave Bar. It’s on the 48th floor and you get the elevator up to level 45 and then a second elevator up to the top. The price of drinks here is quite high so it’s not your typical drinking establishment, but the views are worth the price.
