Exploring Sathorn | Condo Hunting | LGBT! Laws | Chatting with Todd

In today’s video, I reconnect with my good friend Todd, who’s been living in Ban Chang near Rayong but is now planning a move back to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. We start our journey on Sukhumvit, catching the BTS to Siam and heading down to Saphan Taksin, where we explore the vibrant Sathorn district—an area known for its modern condos and lively urban scene. Todd shares his experiences in the Bangkok condo market, including the challenges of finding a suitable 2-bedroom condo that fits his budget and, most importantly, doesn’t come with leaky ceilings!

While condo hunting, we also dive into some important news: Thailand has officially signed off on LGBT+ marriage equality! The new laws, published in the Royal Gazette, will come into effect on January 22nd next year. This is a landmark moment for LGBT+ rights in Thailand, and we discuss how this change is shaping the future of Thai society and what it might mean for Chanya and me.

After some exploration, we take a break at Robinsons Mall for a coffee and chat about Todd’s life, his experiences adjusting to life outside the city, and his excitement about moving back to Bangkok. Whether you’re interested in Bangkok real estate, the latest LGBT+ developments, or just enjoy casual travel vlogs, this video has something for everyone.
