Foreigners Behaving Badly… Again!

Tonight’s video covers a few things, including a sudden filming ban in Big-C and my thoughts on foreigners behaving badly in Thailand.

Chanya’s makeup appointment threw off our usual lunch plans, and with me heading to Pattaya for three days, we needed to get the shopping done. But the evening took an unexpected turn when we were asked to stop filming in Big-C—something that’s never been an issue before. This is a perfect example of how Thailand works. One day, something is fine; the next day, someone calls it out. It’s nothing to get upset over—you just roll with it.

This ties into a bigger topic: foreigners behaving badly in Thailand. There have been a few stories recently, which I briefly touch on, but the pattern is clear—many people come to Thailand expecting paradise, but personal baggage doesn’t disappear just because you changed countries.

I also talk about the real purpose of our channel—to show authentic daily life in Thailand, not just the highlights. We’re not trying to hit a million subscribers, but the people who watch us keep coming back because we show real life, not just the fairy tale version. Maybe that’s why we see so many foreigners struggling—because they’ve bought into a version of Thailand that doesn’t exist.
