Today, we visited the Thai Film Archive in Salaya! I first spotted this place a few weeks ago while having lunch across the street, and now we finally made it here. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this museum was put together!
The Thai Film Archive (Public Organization) is dedicated to preserving Thailand’s cinematic history, showcasing everything from classic films, vintage projectors, film reels, and old movie posters to historical equipment used in Thai filmmaking. The best part? Admission is completely free! That’s a rare find in Thailand, especially for something this well-curated.
While the museum itself was impressive, we were a little let down by the food options—not much more than snacks, likely because most visitors come in tour groups. Still, it was a great day out, even though Chanya was a bit exhausted from her busy week.
