We’re back to our regular schedule and back into the groove of Thai life – and in this episode, we’re covering quite the range of topics!
On our way to lunch, we get a lucky encounter – a monitor lizard casually strolling across the road. They say it’s good luck… as long as you don’t run it over. Then we get into the hot topic of Thailand’s new helmet laws. Out here in the real Thailand, no one seems fazed by the threat of a 2,000 baht fine. You’ll probably only see it enforced in the tourist zones where wallets are easier to open.
Chanya has picked a lunch spot and also surprised me with a trip to the nearby Dragon Temple – a spectacular bit of architecture right on our doorstep.
🟡 Ladyboy dating for seniors – Yes, it’s possible. No, it’s not like what you see in the tourist bars. We’ve been together for 16 years, but I’ve got a few insights for the modern world.
🟡 The Jumping Jesus Phenomenon – Don’t worry, not religious. This is about the exponential explosion of information and the rise of AI. Can you really tell who (or what) you’re talking to online?
💡 Note: The Dragon Temple visit was originally part of this episode, but due to video length, it’s been moved to a special Patrons & Members-only video. Don’t miss it if you’re subscribed there!
It’s another wild, thoughtful, and slightly sarcastic day in the Land of Smiles.
