Papaya Studio: Bangkok’s Vintage Wonderland

Join us as we uncover the hidden gem of Bangkok’s vintage scene—Papaya Studio! Nestled in Wang Thonglang near Lat Phrao, this massive four-story warehouse is part antique store, part museum, and absolutely part-time machine in a time capsule!

Owned by the eccentric Mr. Tong, whose passion for collecting began at age 14, Papaya Studio houses over thousands—perhaps millions—of vintage treasures, from mid-century furniture, Chinese porcelain, and chandeliers, to life-size superheroes, retro radios, Italian bicycles, and neon signs. It’s curated madness: rooms styled like mock living rooms, narrow passageways, and themed sections waiting to be discovered.

Entrance is free, and you’re welcome to explore, take photos, and marvel—just don’t expect price tags on everything. Instead, snap a photo of what catches your eye and inquire at the front desk. Just be ready for steep prices… and occasional “sorry, not for sale” surprises.

This place is a magnet for prop stylists, photographers, interior designers—and nostalgia lovers like us. It’s not just shopping; it’s storytelling through objects
