Shopping for Songkran

Songkran is a crazy time of the year and you need to get things sorted out if you’re planning to participate. Mind you, I and still seeing multiple posts from foreigners complaining about this time of year. If you don’t like Songkran, go somewhere else for god sake! We don’t want your negativity infesting the Thai new year culture either.

Rightfully enough, many Thai’s don’t appreciate getting soaked when they walk down the street either, but you don’t see them venting their anger at others. They have lived with it and simply take it in their stride.

The best way to enjoy Songkran is to get prepared for it. Waterproof bags, quick dry clothing, serviceable footwear and don’t forget the sunscreen. If you plan to partake in the water fights, ear and eye protection won’t be missed either.
