Our life in Thailand is pretty simple and carefree, but I still laugh at reading the various posts of people online who have no clue what Thailand is like and come here expecting some virtual reality TV show. Not only that, but they are shocked when they can’t find their ‘Mr twinkie’ at the local 7-11 or the menu is in Thai. Hey there dumb guy, this is Thailand! Get with the program!
Let’s face it. If you want to come to Thailand and have all the safety nets you have in your hometown, you might as well stay home! Thailand operates on a level of personal responsibility most westerners aren’t accustomed to.
