Chanya came home last Sunday with news that no driver wants to hear—a flat tire! 😩 Given that she’s had slow leaks on this same tire before, my first thought was, “Not again!” But instead of panicking like a bowl of Petunias, I put my engineering hat on and got to work.
Step 1: Get air back in the tire.
✅ Easy, right? Well… not quite. My air pump decided to retire permanently. 😑 So, I hopped on the scooter and went on a mission to find a new pump. The first store was closed, but thankfully, DIY stores are as common as 7-11s in Thailand—so I found one at the next stop.
Of course, no trip is complete without a quick snack stop at Big-C 😆. Once home, I checked the pump, inflated the tire, and took the Toyota Vios up the road to the service guys.
The culprit? A stray screw! Given that Chanya parks near construction debris, this was bound to happen. Luckily, a quick repair later, and we were back in business. Crisis averted! 🚗💨
Do you carry an air pump in your car? Ever had a flat tire at the worst possible moment? Let me know in the comments!
