Typical Challenges living in Thailand

One thing that does get a little frustrating is the way Thai’s seem to cut corners with things that should be dealt with more seriously. One constant fix-up is the air-conditioner where it needs to be serviced constantly due to algae buildup in the pipes. I try to explain that the pipe angles and diameter are wrong, but that doesn’t concern the service technician. He just cleans the pipes and charges me a minimal service fee. Today was another typical situation with car servicing. Last time it had a rough idle, Chanya’s dad took it to his mate to fix. they changed one fuel injector and it was all working again. This time I took the car to a proper service garage and they replaced the other three injectors as well as the spark plugs. Now the car runs smoothly and has more power!
