We celebrate Chai’s Birthday

One of the things most western visitors never see or get involved with is the typical style of birthdays the Thai’s love. I’ve been to a few of these Karaoke birthdays over the last few years and they really are a lot of fun. Of course, you’ll have a tough time reading the lyrics off the screen as they are nearly always in Thai. I also have a lot of difficulties navigating the music search functions so it beats me how the Thai’s work it out.

Chai and his fiancee have been steadily building up their hair salon business over the last 3 years and they now have 3 shops running. He’s also started teaching which keeps the whole thing cycling through and finding new blood to staff their shops. I feel quite privileged to be part of the crew even though Chanya is now running her own salon.
