Chanya’s ATM card had some corruption or malfunction so we needed to get that sorted out. This prompted me to pull out some notes for traveller tips on the issue of money here in Thailand. Daily life can be complicated enough but with a little forethought, your holiday can be simpler if you prepare. The most common issue we see here in Thailand is where the ATM machines hand you the money first before it returns your card. This has caught many travellers out over the years and it is next to impossible to get your card back. Anyway, while sorting out Chanya’s banking stuff, I talk about 5 things that could make your holiday more enjoyable if something goes pear-shaped with your ready cash.
